First Speakers for Notacon 8 Announced!

Monday, November 15th, 2010

The Notacon Content Selection Committee is happy to announce the first speakers selected for Notacon 8.

Alex Papadimoulis runs the blog The Daily WTF, which explores the more humorous and bizarre sides of information technology. His presentation on “Hacking the Workplace” promises to be a satirical, yet still informational look at surviving and making the most of an IT career. What’s his secret? Just the right amount of planning, persistence, psychology… and perhaps a dash of psychopathy.

Mark Stanislav is a Notacon veteran, who has been involved with the event since the very beginning. Mark will be talking on the benefit of cloud computing. Specifically, Mark will explain his experiences with utilizing Puppet, MCollective, The Foreman, and other software which can make a system administrator’s life a whole lot easier in the cloud. Mark is passionate and highly informative; even if cloud computing is not your field, it will be worth checking out his talk.

Of course, this is just our first round of selected talks. Our Call for Proposals is still open, and we will accept your submission through the end of January, 2011. We look forward to hearing your idea for an awesome talk!
