Wyndham security breach, part 2

Friday, February 26th, 2010

It has been brought to our attention the the Wyndham hotel, which we contracted with last year and are in contract with for Notacon 7, was recently hacked again, potentially releasing confidential and personal information of Notacon participants who have booked rooms.

We have already expressed our displeasure to the hotel. While we cannot take responsibility for their screw ups, we certainly understand the frustration and concern on the part of our community in this matter.

An active search for a new venue for Notacon was already well underway when we heard about this breach. This additional issue only highlights our need to accelerate our search for other alternatives.

Please practice due diligence as usual with your credit information and please contact the Wyndham or your credit card carrier for further assistance.
