With 80 days to go until Notacon 6 officially kicks off, I am reminded, again, how quickly time passes as well as how much there is still left to do! While we are busy in the background, I wanted to point out a few imminent and important deadlines.
Deadline #1: Call for Proposals closes on January 31st, 2009
Now is your last chance to submit your proposal for consideration at this years Notacon. We have received an overwhelming amount of awesome and interesting presentations, workshops, performances, etc. If you want to include yours into the pool for consideration, please submit it to us! We especially encourage those of you who have not presented before or otherwise have a unique and distinct idea to bring forth.
Remember, presenters who are accepted receive free admission to the event (at the premier level!) as well as a complimentary basic admission for one guest. They also get a nifty badge that only presenters receive!
Deadline #2: Early registration closes February 1st
Early registration prices of $65 for a basic registration and $100 for a premium registration are good only through the end of the day on February 1st. After February 1st, the prices will modestly increase to $75 for a basic registration and $125 for a premium registration. Likewise, t-shirt pre-order discounts no longer apply. Corporate registration rates will remain the same.
Unlike years past, we do not anticipate extending early registration rates. We will, however, offer those rates to proposal submitters who are not accepted.
Deadline #3: Book your hotel room
The number of available rooms at the Wyndham, our new venue, is smaller than the older hotel. However, we have a very large block of rooms available to Notacon participants. This block expires on March 26th and the number of rooms booked is climbing fast! Hence, it would be in your best interests to secure a room immediately. It is unlikely you’ll find any other hotel close to the conference that offers better rooms at a better rate. Do yourself (and us) a favor and book today!
