HOPE 2008: the last hope

Monday, July 28th, 2008

At this years HOPE conference, I was blown away by the amount of art, community building, and hands-on content that was hosted on the mezzanine level. The talks seemed to be a broader range of topics than in previous years, with a little more history and social presentations than in the past. Perhaps it is just that my memory is fuzzy or I hit the wrong talks in the past, but this HOPE had a lot more to offer for me than the previous years.

Thanks everyone involved in planning and running HOPE for a great con. I can’t wait to see what you guys will come up with next.

Ingenuity 2008

Monday, July 28th, 2008

Froggy and I attended Ingenuity again this year and had a great time. It seems they’re getting more and more technology in their art each year. Although they had less physical space this year, the feel was of one solid event, instead of getting lost in the spread. I hope a few of our connections made there will pan out for exhibits at next year’s Notacon!
